First Day at Bi-Lo
So today was my first day at Bi-Lo. I earned $31.63 before taxes today for 5 and a half hours of work. That's 5.75/hr. for you non wiz kids.
It was really an easy day. First I watched an hour and a half of training videos. I can't believe I got payed for that. After that I started being trained by The Co-Manager's Nephew at the checkout. My dad says the word nepitism comes from the word nephew. I don't know about that.
It was a good day and easy work I don't mind. I get my first check in a week, and I get one every week so that's awesome.
On another note, check out this site: fixthislight.com. It's about a light on a local road here that is just set up so poorly and a lot of people want it fixed. I think it's interesting that the man is applying a global way of communicating a local problem to get local results. Does anyone out side of the Hixon/Chattanooga area care? Doubtful..
