Cindy Sheehan's Camp Casey Campers: Gone Rabid?
As a caller into the Rush Limbaugh Show recounted from a visit to Cindy Sheehan's Crawford Camp:
"I saw them go over and just about attack a young girl who was very distraught because her brother had died in Iraq, and they had all those crosses up, and his name was on the cross. So the mother and the sister came out to remove that. They didn't want him to be a part of that, and so they encircled her, tried to stop her from being able to get the cross, she finally did. They were just about at the point of attacking her, told her that her brother was a murderer, that he had killed innocent people, and that he died for nothing."
That is sick! She's got a bunch of politically motivated wolves behind her. She may or may not be aware of their motivations (I'd bet she is), and she may or may not be motivated by her loss (I'd bet she's not), but I can't believe she had these people there with her! At least she's left, but as I understand it, she left the vigil to her obviously rabid protest-mates.
American Soldiers in Iraq are not victims, they are heros. A soldier does not kill innocent people. Those in a Iraq are giving their lives to protect innocent Iraqis. Gunner Palace anyone?
Sheehan's outrageous quotes of calling George Bush the biggest Terrorist are unfathomably without thought, reason, or logic. What that George Bush has done makes him a terrorist? He killed innocent Iraqis? I'm sorry but that's a reality of war, there is always collateral damage. He's killed American sons and daughters? I'm sorry but these soldiers signed up to be in the military and being in the military one would reasonably expect to go to war. Soldiers die in war. It's a inexcapable truth. So to protest when a son or daughter dies is extrordinary! 1862 Soldiers dead. Does anyone realize that is a spectacularly low number of deaths in a foriegn war? Look at how much has been accomplished for Iraq and its people. How can you call these lives wasted? How can you so dishonor their sacrafice with your politics of Bush hating?
You Cindy Sheehan, disgust me!
You at Cindy's Vigil disgust me!
You undermining the efforts in Iraq with your demoralization through emphasis of the negative disgust me!

Indy: wow you are good to show just how sick your type are. (your type being extreme leftist anti-bush, anti-war fanatics).
What people don't realize when listening to the rush limbaugh show, is those types of quips aren't serious. He's actually referring to her first location in which they were in a ditch and they are "squatters" living on land they don't own. But those are just the facts, you wouldn't care about anything like that being the liberal you are.
Why would I bash the vetern? What has he done? Let them stay on his land? And that is wrong why? Where do you get this "Republicans hate the Army" bullshit? When infact it's your sick fanatic "my-life's-goal-is-to-hate-george-w-bush-" type that really hates the army? As demonstrated by those attending Camp Casey with Ms. Sheehan.
I don't buy into the chickenhawk crap. We have a VOLUNTEER ARMY let me explain what that means to you. It means that the people in the army CHOOSE to be there of their own minds. And in the army you have duties and responsibilities and the soldiers are responding to theirs while in Iraq. You know what? I choose NOT to be there, because I don't have to be and I have no desire to be, but that does not stop me from having an opinion on the war, nor should it stop anyone else. Just because you're not in the military does not make your support or disdain for the war any more or less valid. So stop with the chickenhawk bullshit!

yes, Cindy Sheehan's camp has gone rabid. Flying flecks of rush limbaugh saliva have infected millions.
I was listening to him on my way to chattanooga last week- he kept repeating the phrase "in a ditch, some woman squatting in a ditch..." and variations, etc.
According to the liberal side of things, she'd been on property donated by an Army Veteran for two days.
But "squatting in a ditch" sounds a hella lot better than "being hosted by an army veteran".
c'mon, why don't you bash the vetran now? Republicans love war, they just hate the army.
chickenhawk. enjoy your hypocracy in college.

Cindy Sheehan has responded to President Bush's comments concerning meeting her and has posted her response in The huffington Post. The first statement Cindy Sheehan makes that comes off as anti-democratic is this one and I quote Cindy Sheehan- " Does anyone else know what "democratic" means? It simply means majority rule. Not some high-minded, free-floating, pie in the sky ideal. It means 50 percent plus one." Cindy Sheehen in that particular statement actually attacks 51 % majority rule as a bad form of government and if you can read anything else into that, defending that statement, please make your comment at the end of this post. I would like to say to Cindy Sheehan that 50 plus one is much better then Saddam's 1 % plus brutal totalitarian rule in which the 1% Saddam, rules 99 % of the entire population. Maybe Sheehan has met with some socialist organizations that oppose democratic forms of government. I did notice that a socialist website called 'Socialist Worker Online' is running a rather large article advocating Sheehans position. Cindy Sheehan actually gave an interview to the Socialist Worker Online, she spoke to Socialist Worker’s ERIC RUDER which is mentioned at the beginning of the article. In her interview with the Socialist Worker Online she says and I quote " Some people may think that we’re fighting terrorism over there. But when is that job ever going to be complete? Terrorism is just a new “ism.” It was “communism” when I was growing up." Here Cindy Sheehan is discounting the validity of the threat of communism in the past as just a made up " ism." I believe history taught us that communism brutally oppressed and killed millions of innocent people and is still somewhat of a threat today in places like North Korea where millions have died from starvation due to KimYong II, brutal rule. Cindy Sheehan later went on to say and I quote " I DEFINITELY think that we should support war resisters in the military". I will leave that statement up to the readers interpretation, but it sounds to me to border on subversion and treason. Here is Cindy Sheehan's interview with the Socialist Workers Online in its entirety http://www.socialistworker.org/2005-2/549/549_06_CindySheehan.shtml .
The next statement Cindy Sheehan makes is both inaccurate and untruthful and I quote
"This is the biggest smokescreen from him yet. I didn't ask him to withdraw the troops, I asked him what Noble Cause did Casey die for." Actually Cindy Sheehen didn't ask Bush, she demanded that he "bring the troops home now", here is a quote from her statement made on August 18 2005 and carried by ABC News ""If George Bush comes out here today or if we leave here at the end of August, this is only the beginning, and we're not going to stop until our troops are brought home", I would suggest that means a withdrawal what would you think it means? Also in this ABC article written by Eric Noe it is stated " In addition to requesting a meeting with Bush, Sheehan is now calling for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. She promised to send a similar message if the president agrees to meet with her." Here is the complete article you be the judge http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=1045556&page=1&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312 . Is ABC lying, did they just make that up? I have myself watched Cindy Sheehan on national television say time and time again "bring our troops home now" but she has stated that she has never intended to ask Bush that question. I smell another lie. Whats really strange is in Cindys own article she just released today she says this and I quote " Then bring our troops home. The status quo in Iraq is awful", if you ask me she cant even get through one article without contradicting herself. She goes on to imply that America is spreading "imperialism " by what she says is 14 permanent bases being set up in Iraq the size of Sacramento, California. I dont know if there is any United States military bases on the entire planet Earth the size of a large U.S. city,if there is please let me know ok. By the way the interview Cindy Sheehan gave to the Socialist Worker is the same Socialist worker who ran this article entitled " The Meaning of Marxism" in which they praise Marxism to no end. Here is the link to that garbage http://www.socialistworker.org/Featured/MeaningOfMarxism.shtml

Sheehan is not a politician-not yet, anyway. So to attack her and call her rabid for seeking some honest and direct answers about why her son, and other children are being sent to Iraq to die is so vile that it can ALMOST be called "O'Reilly-esque". It is a purely partisan tactic used to avoid the real issue and smear the character of someone who is a potential embarrassment. Lets start with the "why" question:
So which is it? WMD? Free the Iraqi people? Spread democracy? We are being told that this war now must be finished to keep America safe...is Osama running the show from Iraq now? The veritable salad of ever-changing justifications combined with what is actually RABID determination to obtain control of Iraq (from Bremer's attempts to sell of Iraq to developers and force an "open for pillaging" marketplace down their throats to the absolute unwillingness of the press and administration to address their morphing motivations and explanations)warrants attention, concern and protest. Our leaders and their patsies (Limbaugh, O'Reilly, FOX...)have been allowed to skate around the truth for too long, and trying to marginalize a grieving mother for demanding it is lower than low.

Richard: I knew the weirdos were would jump on this on eventually, but man, I didn't expect anything like you.

Cindy is a true patriot. Those who hate her are not Christians because Christians do not hate. Those who say that she is committing treasonable acts need to read the constitution of the U.S.
George W. Bush is practicing fascism, like his ancestors who got their financial start from liquidated Nazi corporations. George and his cronies are not like Nazis, they are Nazis. I pity the followers of Nazis because Jesus is coming and they will have a lot of explaining to do.
With love for all

stella blue: I don't know that most people there are family of soldiers or ex-soldiers. And regardless of their label, what about their motivations? I guess you or I could never really know unless we were to go there and see for ourselves.
k. pegg: would you really go rabid? would you really harass those who want to stop their loved ones names from being used for political gain? I pay taxes based on a good faith in the government and its actions. The soldiers didn't enlist to protect innocent Iraqis but they did enlist to be soldiers and take orders and all the responsibilities that entails. In this case that includes their duties in Iraq. Do you think that we should not have been in Germany after world war II? You would suggest that we just leave? Brilliant idea. And your comparison of Iraq to Vietnam is lacks reason and logic.

My Brother-in-Law was recently deployed to Iraq. After seeing what my sister, niece and nephew are going through, I wish I was at Camp Casey To "Go Rabid" with the rest of the angry tax payers. I do not see any gain for the American sacrifices. The American soldiers did not enlist to protect innocent Iraqis! I do not pay taxes to protect innocent Iraqis! Our volunteer soldiers signed up to serve and protect Americans. They are being killed serving Iraqis. My 3 year old niece cries at night for her daddy. She is gaining nothing by sacrificing her daddy. Operation Iraqi Freedom is just another Vietnam!

When it got to the part of "told her that her brother was a murderer, that he had killed innocent people", they lost credibility. Most of the people at that camp are either mothers or family of other soliders or ex-soldiers.
I have the most radical of radical friends and no one says that the soldiers are murderers. I believe they reserve that sentiment for Bush and Cheney, not the honorable soldiers.

Simon: please don't give me that war for oil bullshit we all know that if this war was for oil we would have started taking it from them along time ago.
stella blue: and why shouldn't I? Liberals have demonstrated just how vicious they can be during the 2004 presidential campaign, and protesting activists are more likely than the average person to be so harsh. Plus, are you saying that it shouldn't be believed just because the caller was on the Rush Limbaugh show? So what? Rush's show is credible whether you want to accept it or not.

you are going to take the word of a caller on the Rush Limbaugh show???
