I started a new blog

Now don't think that this blog isn't going to be maintained. By all means, akijikan is alive and well. That's right, I'll have two blogs! Akijikan, my personal blog, and I Know College Football, my college football opinion and analysis blog. Check it out now!

Personal Wikis?

I find the idea of personal wikis very cool, but I'd have to learn more about them before I started one.

Best East Tennessee Blogs

So my blog was included on tennesseebloggers.com in the categories "Best East Tennessee Blogs" and "Best Personal Journals".

I didn't even know about this till I noticed a referring click from them on my stats page.

Wow.  I didn't see any contact information for whoever was categorizing the blogs, but whoever they are, it's a great honor.

FREE SONY PLAYSTATION PORTABLE

So I'm sure most of you are familiar with Gratis Networks.  They are the people that you complete an offer, refer friends who complete offers and then you get something free; be it a computer, video game, camera, or anything else.

I'm working on their Free Sony PSP program. This is recently launched.  All you have to do is complete an offer and refer 5 friends who do the same.  The offer is easy.  You do pay a 5.95 fee to be part of a trial run of a product you cancel later, but it's well worth it right?  I know I'd rather pay 5.95 and then get a free PSP that costs 250.

Now I know this sounds like a scam, but it's not.  They've been in the news as legit.  See what the New York Times said:

after finding what he deemed to be legitimate success stories, he decided to make a run. Within a month [after signing up for an offer and getting five friends to do the same], he received his iPod. 'I think it's pretty cool', he said, adding that he is now participating in two other Gratis programs

The CEO of the company has also appeared on "The Screen Savers" a G4-TechTV program and they professed it to be legit also.

Check out http://www.FreePSPs.com/?r=15335144 and I promise, you will not be disapointed.  The offers are simple and easy and most offer instant credit from the Gratis site.  What a Cinch!

Surfin' The Web (ie bored)

So my girlfriend found both of these pages...first there is one about the secret society of squirrels and their hazing activities.

Then she found a quiz...I'm not much for quizes, but this one was interesting and its on of those you don't know your results from the questions and thier answers. You can find out which celebrity chef you are. I'm Iron Chef...not a chef, but awesome all the same.

As you can see I switched back to this style, the other one the text got on top of the picture making it hard to read...I'm not in love with this style though...I'm thinking of going back to the one that was based on the movable type style, I like the plain, simple look.

Hey, the Vols managed to beat bama...how awesome is that. Today I spent 7 hours on the phone with my girlfriend...awesome as well!

I'm outta here.

I've been recently addicted to

I've been recently addicted to Blogshares. I play it a lot. It's a fantasy economy in which blogs are the companys and you trade stock in the companies as well as ideas, which are the commodities the blogs create based on which industry they are voted into. Your blog may already be listed. You should join the game and claim it. Claiming your blog gives you an automatic 1000 shares in it. Cool stuff.

I miss my girlfriend a whole lot. I told her that I wanted her to come here for my birthday...but I don't really want her to waste her money doing that when she doesn't even have any holidays and it'd be a short visit...

It's dark in here... Like some kind of shadow...

So I went to St. John's today and talked to the head chef there.  He said "So you want to go to culinary school after high school?"  And I replied with yes, I'm hoping to go the French Culinary Institue [frenchculinary.com]."  and he knew exactly what school I was talking about so I think thats a good sign.  He asked if I had any kitchen experience and I said "No, but that's what I'm trying to get."

So he hooked me up with this shadowing deal.  I come in on Fridays and Saturdays after 2 and help the shadow the chef who prepares the cold food (desserts mostly).

This is so exciting.  I can't wait!

On a completely different note, my recently added webstats counter shows that I've gotten a hit from a Malaysian computer:

This is interesting.  Actually, I'm quite sure it came from sixthseal.com because when you make comments, you put in you web address and your name becomes a link to your site.  So I'm sure that's what happened.  Either that or its HB himself.

If so, hello Huai Bin!

Gmail! I have it!

Yep you read right! I have Gmail!

I got it for a cookie recipe that I offered on gmailswap.com [gmailswap.com]. I imagine that you could get one two if you offered cookies on that website. They jumped all over it.

I have more invites and I have plans for all of them. So don't bother asking for an invite. Though here is your chance to get one.

I will swap one gmail invite for a domain (no subs) and hosting (free for life preferred). If you can offer this and would like an invite, contact me at [[REDACTED]] [mailto:].
